Integrations

Integrations and API

Paloma connects to your other systems via an API. Paloma has an API today, as an add-on service. A new API is planned for December 2026. It is included in every account at no extra cost, even in the free account.

The first version handles contacts, lists and consents, so that your CRM, membership system or online shop can keep Paloma up to date automatically. Zapier is planned for the same launch and is included from Bas.

Paloma's API today

Paloma has an API today. It is an add-on service, and customers use it to connect their own systems to Paloma, for example to keep contacts up to date and fetch statistics from mailings.

Now we are building a new API from the ground up, with modern authentication and new documentation. It is included in every account and replaces the add-on for new customers. If you already have an integration with today's API, you do not need to do anything. It keeps working, and you decide if and when you want to switch.

What you can connect

Paloma is made to sit next to the systems you already have. You do not need to move your customer data to us. You let it flow.

This is included in the first version of the new API:

Contacts

Create, read, update and delete contacts from your own system.

Lists

Add contacts to the right list and remove them again, so that the right people get the right mailings.

Consents

The consent follows the contact, so that you can show what each person has agreed to.

The new API is expanded step by step. Mailings, statistics, SMS and events are not included in the first version.

How the new API works

  • Included in every account. The API costs nothing extra. In the free account it comes with a low limit on the number of calls, meant for testing and building. From Bas upwards the limit is generous and only exists to protect operations.
  • REST and JSON. Standard calls over HTTPS, the same way most modern systems talk to each other.
  • Secure sign-in with OAuth 2.0. You create an API project under My account and get your own credentials for your integration. No passwords are shared between systems.
  • Documentation. Coming to docs.paloma.se at the launch, with examples to start from.
  • Hosted in Sweden. Paloma is hosted in Sweden by Telia Cygate. This also applies to data that comes in via the API.

Zapier

With Zapier you connect Paloma to thousands of apps without writing code. A new lead in your CRM becomes a contact in Paloma. A sign-up in a form ends up in the right list.

Zapier is planned for the launch of the new API and is included in all paid plans, from Bas upwards.

How to get started

This is how it works once the new API has launched:

1

Create an account

The free account is enough for testing.

2

Create an API project

You do this under My account.

3

Make your first call

Start by fetching a contact, and then create one. The documentation on docs.paloma.se shows how.

4

Grow when you are ready

When the integration is live and you send to more people, you choose the plan that suits you. The integration comes along.

Common integrations

CRM

New contacts in your CRM become contacts in Paloma, in the right list and with the right consent. You send the newsletters from Paloma.

Membership system

New members become contacts automatically. Those who leave are removed from the list. The lists follow your membership categories.

Online shop

New customers end up in Paloma without anyone exporting and importing files.

Booking system

New bookings become contacts in a list. If you want the list to start an automated flow with a confirmation and a reminder, you do that with Marketing Automation.

Your own forms

Paloma's subscription forms already work without the API. If you have built your own form, it can write to Paloma via the API.

How we see integrations

Many replace their newsletter tool when they get a CRM with built-in mailings. Often the mailings get worse: simpler templates, poorer deliverability, fewer statistics.

Our idea is the opposite. Paloma is the mailing engine next to your CRM. You keep the best of both, and the contacts should flow between them. That is why the new API is included in every account, with no add-on.
